Equipment Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor to lead the maintenance organization at its Mebane manufacturing facility. The role focuses on building a proactive, reliability-driven team that improves equipment effectiveness, reduces downtime, and ensures safe, compliant operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to achieve safety, quality, reliability, and operational objectives
- Direct preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance; prioritize and execute work effectively
- Drive shift from reactive to planned, preventive, and condition-based maintenance culture
- Use OEE data to identify reliability improvements and partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and ensure corrective actions prevent recurrence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years progressive industrial maintenance experience with team leadership
- 3+ years maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
- Expertise in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in manufacturing
- Troubleshooting capability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems
- Experience with TPM, OEE analysis, CMMS, root cause analysis, and spare-parts management
- Background in injection molding, plastics, automated assembly, or high-volume manufacturing preferred
