Automotive Service AdvisorFox CDJR Taylor is hiring a full-time Service Advisor in Taylor, MI to serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role exists to ensure customer concerns are documented precisely, repairs are authorized appropriately, and expectations around timing and cost are managed with accuracy. Key responsibilities include:Check on the progress of repairs throughout the day and provide customers with frequent updates on the status of their vehiclesOpen and manage repair orders, capturing customer concerns clearlyProvide written estimates for parts and labor; obtain approvals for changesReview service history, perform walkarounds, and recommend additional services as appropriateMonitor repair progress and communicate updates through completionClose repair orders and explain completed work and chargesRequired qualifications:Experience preferredComfort using technology to support an exceptional customer experienceStrong communication, organization, follow-up, and time-management skillsValid driver's licenseA Typical DayAs a Service Advisor, your day centers on steady customer interaction and careful documentation. You'll start by reviewing the appointment schedule and any customer or vehicle details gathered in advance, then welcome arrivals and confirm concerns at check-in. Throughout the day, you'll prepare clear written estimates, track vehicle status, and provide timely updates when pricing or promised completion times change-securing authorization before work continues.
