Job Details Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central – Colorado Springs Department: Staffing Office / Float Pool Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Day and Night Rotation or Nights Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview This is an onsite Registered Nurse (RN) role in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a technically complex environment. The RN will provide top‑of‑scope patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support evidence‑based practice and educational initiatives. Core Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions using the nursing process. Utilize AACN Synergy Model: Apply evidence‑based care models and specialty certification standards to improve patient outcomes. Participate in preceptorship: Mentor and precept new nurses and support emerging healthcare professionals. Engage in continuous education: Complete specialty education and training as guided by Clinical Educators. Maintain patient safety: Collaborate on initiatives to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program approved by the state board or the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). At least 6 months of ICU nursing experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. Accredited BLS or CPR for the Professional Rescuer with a current card (valid through 60 days after hire).
