Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Reconcile, code, and process invoices while verifying purchase orders, approvals, and supporting documentation as the Accounts Payable Specialist
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain accurate vendor records as the Accounts Payable Specialist
• Review accounts payable aging reports and ensure proper documentation and compliance as the Accounts Payable Specialist
• Collect and maintain W-9s, track resale certificates, and assist with sales and use tax reporting and annual 1099 preparation as the Accounts Payable Specialist
• Prepare payable analyses and support special accounting projects as the Accounts Payable Specialist

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 1+ year of accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate vendor and invoice records
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software systems
