Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms and a tented outdoor event space , making us a premier destination for weddings, meetings, and special events. We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Overnight Maintenance Technicians to join our team. Position Summary The Overnight Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and hotel facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by proactively addressing maintenance needs and responding to overnight service requests. Overnight and weekend availability is required. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure all systems are in proper working condition Inspect and repair electrical systems including lighting, outlets, and in-room equipment Maintain HVAC units to ensure proper operation and cleanliness Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks, and bathtubs Complete basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve maintenance issues Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations Qualifications Previous maintenance or engineering experience preferred, ideally in a hotel setting Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work Ability to use hand tools and perform basic carpentry and maintenance tasks Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed throughout the hotel, both indoors and outdoors Regular use of ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment Frequent bending, climbing, lifting, and standingAbility to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds as needed Physically active role requiring mobility and manual dexterity throughout shift Why Join Meyer Jabara Hotels?
