Compensation: $31-$38/hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a mortgage client of ours located in Southfield, MI that is seeking a Loan Officer to join their growing team. This is a Contract-to-Hire , fully on-site opportunity with competitive hourly compensation and long-term potential.

Position Overview

The Loan Officer will be responsible for guiding borrowers through the mortgage loan process, from initial consultation through closing, while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate, structure, and process residential mortgage loans
• Consult with borrowers to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate loan products
• Collect, review, and analyze borrower documentation to ensure completeness and compliance
• Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and internal teams
• Ensure loans meet company, investor, and regulatory guidelines
• Manage pipeline activity to meet deadlines and performance expectations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience within the mortgage industry
• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage origination role
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance standards
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
