We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility- South Carolina in Mount Pleasant, SC. This is a full time, onsite position working Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update patient information.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked and available.
• Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication protocols, and preventive care measures.
• Ensure a safe and organized environment by adhering to infection control and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plan and providing education on procedures, testing, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, tests, and referrals to ensure a smooth continuum of care.
• Assist patients with understanding their medical care, insurance coverage, and available financial resources.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
• Provide emotional support and resources to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or barriers to care.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
• Educate patients on treatment protocols, self-care strategies, and medication usage.
• Track patient progress, follow up on missed appointments, and ensure compliance with treatment plans.
• Advocate for patients' needs and help resolve any issues or barriers to care.
• Assist with after-hours call coverage on a rotating schedule, ensuring patient needs are addressed appropriately.
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements

• Education: Highschool Diploma required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred but not required. Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience: Strong phlebotomy skills preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting, including patient care coordination, patient navigation, or case management.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and patient advocacy. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare software. Bilingual skills are a plus.
