Job Duties Follow order specifications/special instructions and ensure all production materials are at cutter prior to set-up. Determine the best utilization of master sheet, cutting to customers' specifications. Set up and operate cutting machine with high proficiency. Operate assigned cutter by performing required adjustments, maintenance, and maintaining consistent quality. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all company safety policies. Follow all procedures and report unsafe conditions. Verify dimensions of cut parts match work order. Identify poor quality material and notify supervisor. Measure to ensure specified dimensions of sheets. Observe operation of machine to detect malfunctions such as jamming wrinkling or tearing of material. Stop machine to make required adjustments. Replace worn cutting blades. Completes and processes all related documentation via PC or tablet. Record maintenance and service calls in maintenance logbook as required Trains, assists, and supports other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals. Continuously reviews current processes. Searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste. Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required. Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective action on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance based on equipment specifications and acquired knowledge of machine operations. Manage role with an understanding of changing priorities, sense of urgency, execution of results and support for the team. Inspect finished product before releasing to internal or external customers.
