Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
- Plan and provide nursing care for adolescent patients in behavioral health
- Make nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options in collaboration with the treatment team
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans
- Administer and document reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
- Monitor patient safety and assist in maintaining a secure environment for staff and patients
- Monitor vital signs and assess/pain management; ensure ordered pain treatments
- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician orders; maintain confidentiality
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results
- Perform administrative tasks (filing, answering phones, typing, progress notes)
- Deliver courteous, high-quality service and respond to requests or referrals

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Telemetry experience preferred (nice to have)
- Ability to work in an inpatient adolescent behavioral health setting
