Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Configuration Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Eaton's Electrical Data Center Power Distribution division designs, manufactures, and services Static Transfer Switches (STS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Remote Power Panels (RPP), and Dry-Type transformers products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. This position serves as a critical link between Engineering and Operations by facilitating the implementation of engineering projects and sales order configurations within Eaton PDI's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Primary responsibilities include the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, part number creation and administration, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management. The role also ensures engineering data is organized, accurate, and readily accessible, supporting efficient workflows across Quality, Procurement, and Customer Service functions.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $83000 a year.

What You'll Do:

• Support Engineering Teams with releasing documents and updating them in ERP system
• Ensure all engineering documents are properly revision-controlled following established processes
• Examine engineering documents for accuracy and completeness
• Work with engineer originating the document to troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies
• Process and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Deviations and follow up to resolve issues and get approvals
• Support part number creation and updates using the Product Data Management (PDM) tool
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support both Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO) product lines
• Ensure engineering documents are available to other departments in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the described location
• Ability to read technical documents, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year associate's degree or 2 years related experience
• Experience in Mechanical or Electrical CAD
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for BOM management, configuration control, and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO)
• Experience with ERP systems and understanding of how engineering data interfaces with manufacturing, sourcing, and cost control
• Ability to work autonomously and shift to a team environment with the ability to work with other teams within Eaton
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and planning skills
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
