Lead Teller

Position Overview As a Teller Lead within PNC's Retail Banking organization, you will be based in Mahwah, NJ. You will lead teller teams by example, fostering a customer‑centric culture, ensuring efficient and accurate daily operations, and supporting the Branch Manager with performance management and new‑hire selection. Responsibilities Coach, mentor, and lead tellers to deliver an exceptional customer experience and improve financial wellbeing. Process a variety of customer interactions with accuracy and efficiency. Educate customers on available products and alternatives, leveraging technology, tools, and resources. Identify banking opportunities during interactions, making appropriate referrals to branch staff. Lead lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and position PNC products. Communicate clearly, handle transactions, and resolve problems following established procedures. Assist the Branch Manager with performance management, new‑hire selection, and daily operations oversight. Adhere to all policies and procedures and demonstrate sound judgment within established limits. Ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed accurately. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; university degree preferred. At least 1 year of related experience in retail banking or a comparable field. Strong customer‑service orientation and the ability to identify opportunities through meaningful conversation. Proficiency with banking technology and a commitment to using technology to enhance customer interaction. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Experience coaching or leading teams is an advantage. Pay Transparency Base Salary: $45,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year. Salary may vary based on geographic location, market data, individual skill set, and experience. This role is incentive‑eligible with pay based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
