Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of digital and web-based initiatives for a State Government client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing website and application development projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality standards.

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership, driving project execution through Agile methodologies while maintaining clear communication, managing risks, and ensuring successful software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Create, prioritize, and manage user stories, tasks, and defects using Azure DevOps.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, and action items.
• Coordinate Quality Assurance (QA) testing and ensure compliance with organizational release management processes.
• Manage software deployments and production releases in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
• Foster effective communication across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business objectives, quality standards, and scheduled timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Project Management experience managing web application or website development projects.
• Recent experience working with a State Government client is mandatory.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise web applications and digital platforms from conception through production.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps , including backlog management, sprint planning, user stories, and issue tracking.
• Experience coordinating software release management and Quality Assurance activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management abilities.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, business users, vendors, and executive leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital content management.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Airtable, or similar platforms.
• Experience managing project budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning.
• Background in digital content, journalism, marketing, or communications.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
