Our core values include building solid partnerships, providing exceptional service, nurturing a positive work environment, and offering comprehensive support to all our teammates.ResponsibilitiesReviews and evaluates project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant documents to identify what is needed to create a bid proposalCalculates the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents and/or site conditionsConsults with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesAttends job site walk-throughs with other estimators as necessary to ensure that any field conditions that may potentially affect or impact the construction, prospective bid or pre-construction designs are properly handledPrepares bid documents including specific scope letter for each project, evaluations with adjustments for buy-outs, labor rate, productivity, etc. and identifies any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problemsAble to provide accurate, detailed, and competitive estimatesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, combined with completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program and field experience, or a bachelor's degree in construction management or similar studiesMinimum 4+ years' relevant experience related to commercial, industrial and "service" projectsAccustomed to estimating projects at varied price rangesThorough knowledge of the electrical field with familiarity in materials and construction methodsKnowledgeable of the N.E.C and local codesProficient with MS Suite & Outlook and experience utilizing Accubid and AutoCADStrong verbal and written communication skillsOutgoing and personableHow we support you:Excited about working at a highly respected companyEnjoy working with happy and fulfilled colleaguesWork with the bestLeadership developmentFeel supported by management who careCummings offers:BonusesPTOStabilityRelocationFlexible work scheduleHealth benefit options and service discounts401(k) 8% employer matchOnsite GymAll applicants will be subject to background check and drug screen.
