Job OverviewA law firm seeks a highly qualified Technical Specialist or Patent Agent to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in high-tech patent prosecution, with proficiency in patent searching and drafting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and other IP-related opinions. Duties Conduct patent searches and draft patentability opinions. Prepare freedom-to-operate and other IP-related opinions. Support complex patent prosecution matters. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in high-tech patent prosecution. Proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP-related opinions. Experience as a patent agent or in a law firm or industry setting preferred. Education Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field. Certifications None specified. Skills Self-motivated and collaborative. Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills. Benefits Health care. Retirement plan. Parental leave.
