Title: Corporate Litigation Counsel

Location: Phoenix, AZ

\n

Pay: $130,000 - 140,000

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
\n
• Active Arizona Bar membership in good standing or the ability to obtain Arizona admission promptly.
\n
• 0–4+ years of civil litigation experience, including internships, clerkships, externships, or private practice.
\n
• Experience or demonstrated interest in commercial litigation, personal injury, or other civil litigation matters.
\n
• Exposure to hearings, mediations, arbitrations, or trial preparation is preferred.
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
\n
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
\n
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
\n
• High attention to detail and strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Manage civil litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
\n
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other court filings.
\n
• Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and case evaluations to assess legal risk and develop litigation strategies.
\n
• Manage document review, discovery processes, and case preparation.
\n
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, experts, and co-counsel while maintaining strong client relationships.
\n
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality work product is delivered.
\n
• Assist with assigning work, reviewing legal documents, and mentoring junior attorneys and legal staff as the litigation team grows.
\n
• Partner with leadership to develop litigation playbooks, templates, training materials, and best practices that support a scalable, high-performing practice.
\n
• Maintain organized case files, monitor litigation deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and internal procedures.
\n
• Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the litigation function.
