What you'll do as: Cottonseed Lab Tech

This position is responsible for assisting the Quality Control group to conduct plant monitoring testing on cottonseed for quality standards in raw and processed form.

Key emphasis will be placed on preforming quality checks which may include but not limited to:

• Acid percentage, dryer temp, buffer temp, bushel weights, ph, clean out percentages, seed count, seed appearance, bag analysis, calibration of scales, and down time coding.
• Perform inspections on packaged finished product to verify standards are met.
• Enter Data on plant monitoring spreadsheet
• Report any deviations of quality parameters
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tests for extended time periods following standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to work near/with other workers on daily basis
• Responsible for maintaining clean work area
• Follow safe work practices
• Majority of testing requires standing and walking for periods of time in an industrial and warehouse setting.
