What you get to do:


As a Pest Control Supervisor, you will provide key support for our year-round park operational needs. You will:

• Perform daily inspections of park grounds and facilities

• Staff scheduling and prioritizing daily work duties

• Order parts and materials for pest control department

• Coordinate with contractors and park personnel for proper support

• Responsible for department training and employee appraisal

• Ensure departmental employees are meeting all company Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, including those related to safe and proper application and handling of pest control related chemicals and products

• Provide department park duty coverage as required

• Maintain and update Pesticide and Wildlife Management Plans

• Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must have valid Driver's License and be able to meet Busch Gardens driving guidelines

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent required

• Structural certification or other pertinent certification by Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services(Preferred)

• Knowledge and treatment of Pests and Rodent Control, Termites and Wood destroying organisms, lawn and ornamental (Required)

• Minimum of 4 years of pest control trade experience in Industrial, Structural, Agricultural Animal or other pertinent pest control areas to a theme park (Preferred)

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience (Preferred)

• Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis

• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights if needed (up to 335 ft)

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes

• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)

• Perform all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals

• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

• Work flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to safely and properly apply and handle pest control related chemicals and products

• Must be able to work in elevated work locations plus confined spaces

• Must be able to work around animals and zoological environment
