The organization is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Operations to play a pivotal role in its growth and impact. The successful candidate will be a core strategic leader, responsible for optimizing resources, developing internal systems, and leading the teams that support the organization's mission. This role is at the intersection of finance, operations, and people systems, and the VPFO will be expected to bring a strategic yet hands-on approach to their work, balancing big-picture thinking with strong execution. Key responsibilities for the VPFO include partnering with the executive team to develop and implement a long-term financial strategy, managing all financial planning and accounting functions, and overseeing organizational operations, systems, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of experience in relevant leadership roles, with a strong background in nonprofit accounting principles and GAAP. They should be adept at building and improving operational systems, and workflows, and have a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as experience in education nonprofits, is highly preferred.
