About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) for Shared Services to serve as the senior philanthropic leader, providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and fundraising expertise to advance enterprise-wide priorities and organizational impact. The CPO will work closely with executive leaders, foundation partners, physicians, caregivers, volunteers, and community stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropy strategy that supports transformational system priorities, major capital initiatives, clinical excellence, research, innovation, workforce development, and community health programs. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of philanthropy, enhancing donor engagement, and ensuring that philanthropy is integrated into the organization's strategic planning and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate for the CPO position at the company will have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of fundraising and/or operations experience, with a proven track record in leading diverse staff and managing various fundraising programs. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to build and retain a high-caliber team. The CPO will be responsible for enhancing philanthropic marketing, campaign strategy, and performance reporting to increase philanthropic investment and long-term sustainability. Experience in project management, analytical skills, and the ability to work within complex integrated organizations to achieve philanthropic goals are also key requirements for this role.
