About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) for its South Division. The CPO will be the senior philanthropic leader, responsible for providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and fundraising expertise to advance the division's mission and community impact. This role involves cultivating philanthropic relationships, securing significant charitable investments, and aligning fundraising efforts with the division's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of increasing fundraising performance and executing successful capital campaigns. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a complex integrated organization to achieve collaborative fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with divisional executives, foundation leaders, and various stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropy strategy that supports transformational initiatives, major capital priorities, clinical excellence, research, innovation, workforce development, and community health programs. The CPO will also provide executive oversight to affiliated foundations, ensuring alignment around fundraising goals and promoting best practices. Key qualifications include the ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-caliber team, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Experience in a complex hospital system, academic medical center, or children's hospital setting is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at fostering a culture of philanthropy and elevating it as a strategic asset to the organization.
