Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and establish their goals, taking care to understand individual lifestyle factors influencing recovery.
• Manage a manageable caseload, conducting sessions with one patient per hour to provide focused, individualized therapy.
• Utilize hands-on techniques and interventions to improve patients' mobility and strength, employing best practices tailored to orthopedic conditions.
• Design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs utilizing a mix of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting all care provided and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices by incorporating elements of fitness and wellness into patient treatment plans.
• Adhere to industry regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will primarily work with patients who require rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Our approach focuses on creating patient-centered care plans that cater to a diverse demographic, ranging from athletes seeking to return to sports post-injury to elderly patients recovering from surgeries. By prioritizing quality care and compassionate service, we aim to support our patients' long-term health and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record free from any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and capable of executing effective exercise protocols.
• A strong understanding of evidence-based interventions and their application in orthopedic settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with preference given to candidates experienced with WebPT software.

Preferred Experience

While a background specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly valued, we also welcome candidates who can demonstrate a strong commitment to patient rehabilitation and a desire to grow their expertise in orthopedic physical therapy. Experience managing patient caseloads effectively and a knack for crafting individualized treatment plans will be advantageous in this position.

Compensation and Benefits
