Work Environment

This position is onsite and primarily encompasses home care settings, allowing you to deliver personalized therapy directly in the patient's environment. This setup not only helps in minimizing travel burdens for patients but also enables you to observe them in their daily activities, enhancing treatment effectiveness. Your work schedule will typically be from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, promoting a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Administer effective therapies aimed at improving patients' mobility, flexibility, and strength while reducing pain.
• Educate patients on exercise techniques and wellness strategies to maintain long-term health improvements.
• Document all therapy sessions, outcomes, and updates in accordance with EMR systems, ensuring accurate patient records.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet changing healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and enhance patient outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients during their recovery journeys, promoting adherence to therapy regimens.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role includes addressing a diverse range of musculoskeletal issues, working collaboratively with individuals of all ages—making it essential to be adaptable and empathetic. Your expertise will empower patients to regain their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life while encouraging a proactive approach to health and wellness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• No prior disciplinary actions or board issues on record.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and appropriate exercise prescription methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients to encourage adherence to treatment plans.
• Familiarity with EMR software, such as WebPT, for effective patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual client needs.
• Excellence in working independently while being part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
