As Mr. Chubby continues to grow, we are seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President to lead the brand from early-stage development to scalable, standardized, multi-location expansion.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Vice President to lead the development, oversight, and growth of the Mr. Chubby brand. This position will focus on building the brand from the ground up, creating consistent standards across all stores, supporting local operators, and helping the brand grow in a more structured, scalable, and unified direction.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on brand leader with strong restaurant operations experience, multi-location management experience, and the ability to work closely with ownership, store operators, and cross-functional teams. This role requires regular travel to different Mr. Chubby locations to support operations, evaluate store performance, and ensure brand consistency.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: Annual Salary: $200,000 – $400,000 based on experience and qualifications, subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholding. Additional performance-based bonuses may apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall development and growth of the Mr. Chubby brand, including brand positioning, operational direction, store standards, customer experience, and long-term expansion strategy.
• Build the brand from the ground up by creating scalable systems, operating procedures, training standards, reporting structures, and management routines that can be applied across multiple locations.
• Oversee multiple independently owned and operated Mr. Chubby locations to ensure consistency in food quality, service standards, cleanliness, operational execution, and overall brand presentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, store operators, and teams, including China-based vendors and partners, to support purchasing, operations, product consistency, training, and brand standard implementation.
• Act as a hands-on brand-level head manager by regularly visiting stores, observing daily operations, identifying issues, coaching management teams, and ensuring store-level details are properly executed.
• Work closely with store owners, operators, general managers, and department leaders to improve daily operations, resolve challenges, strengthen accountability, and support each location’s success.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, customer traffic, average check size, repeat visits, and overall brand performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue through local store marketing, promotional strategies, menu positioning, service flow improvements, customer engagement, and operational adjustments.
• Review store performance data, including sales trends, labor costs, food costs, inventory, customer feedback, online reviews, and operational reports, to identify risks and create action plans.
• Support new store openings by assisting with operational setup, staffing structure, training plans, store readiness, vendor coordination, soft opening preparation, and grand opening execution.
• Partner with HR, marketing, finance, purchasing, construction, IT, and operations teams to support hiring, training, cost control, marketing campaigns, supply chain needs, and future expansion.
• Develop strong leadership teams by training, mentoring, and evaluating store managers and key team members across all locations.
• Ensure each location operates in alignment with the company’s concept, brand expectations, food safety standards, employment policies, and applicable laws.
• Travel regularly to current and future Mr. Chubby locations to support store operations, new openings, training, performance reviews, and brand standard implementation.

Qualifications

• Previous senior-level restaurant management, operations leadership, general management, or multi-location management experience required.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese required due to business needs, as the role involves regular communication with China based vendors, suppliers, and store-level management teams.
• Strong hands-on restaurant operations experience, with the ability to oversee store-level details including service, staffing, training, food quality, cleanliness, labor control, inventory, guest experience, and daily execution.
• Experience managing or supporting multiple restaurant locations, especially in a fast-paced restaurant, fast-casual, food court, or high-volume dining environment.
• Strong ability to lead as both a strategic brand leader and a hands-on head manager who can identify problems, implement solutions, and hold store teams accountable.
• Strong business mindset with the ability to analyze sales trends, labor cost, food cost, customer feedback, store performance, and market opportunities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to operational needs across different locations.
• Must be willing and able to travel regularly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building or scaling a developing restaurant brand from early stage to multi-location operation preferred.
• Strong understanding of Chinese cuisine, Asian fast-casual concepts, food court operations, or modern casual dining concepts preferred.
• Experience partnering with marketing teams to create promotions, increase customer traffic, improve online presence, and strengthen brand awareness.
• Experience creating store-level performance plans to improve sales, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve guest satisfaction.
• Creative and strategic thinker who can work within the company’s brand concept while bringing new ideas to improve revenue, customer traffic, operational efficiency, and brand recognition.
