Exciting Opportunity for a Pediatrician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to become a part of our hospital-based team!

Compensation Packages

Option 1:
Base salary of $257,254, which aligns with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates. This amount is guaranteed for two years, with the possibility to transition to a wRVU production contract upon surpassing targets.

Option 2:
A base salary of $318,848, reflecting the 75th percentile of MGMA, guaranteed for one year before switching to a wRVU production contract.

Note: A 5% reduction applies for those who are not yet board certified, with salary adjustments made upon certification.

Contract Details

This two-year contract includes:

• Vacation: 29 paid days off (PTO), plus an additional 5 days for achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.
• CME/Books & Journals: 5 days of PTO and up to $5,000 for educational expenses.
• Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000, with $25,000 per year for each year of service commitment.
• Deferred Compensation: 457b plan allowing deferral of up to $24,500 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.
• Retirement/Savings Plan: 403b plan permitting deferral of up to $24,500 annually before taxes for those under 50, and $31,000 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base pay.
• Moving Expenses: Up to $10,000 paid to a moving company.
• Malpractice Insurance: Claims-made coverage of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.
• Health Insurance: A small premium paid by the provider, deducted from paychecks.
• Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for two years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.
• Sign-On Bonus: 15% of the base salary, up to $100,000, paid upon signing the contract and forgiven over 2-4 years.
• Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent on a two-year service commitment.
• Bonus Incentives: Attractive bonus opportunities of up to 10% of salary.

Practice Information

Location: Pediatric Associates in Portsmouth, OH

Office Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or three 12-hour shifts.

Weekend Coverage: Scheduled every 12 weekends.

Workload is approximately 40 hours per week; adjustments are made for 12-hour shifts or weekend work during weekdays.

Evening Hours: Possible late evenings from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or weekend hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Call Coverage: Shared among five providers from Friday to Sunday and Monday to Thursday.

Staffing and Caseload

• Team includes 7 Physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Support staff includes an Office Manager, Medical Office Assistants (MOAs), and LPNs.
• Average caseload of 25 patients per day.

Equipment and Procedures

• Point-of-Care Testing: Includes Lead, Hemoglobin, Urine, Bilirubin, Strep, Flu, Pregnancy, O2, and Nebulizers.
• On-Site Lab Services: Available for convenience.
• Common Procedures: Wart removal, casting, ear irrigation, treatment of ingrown toenails, incision and drainage, and cryotherapy.
• Nursery Procedures: Includes NRP, attendance at high-risk deliveries, newborn airway management, umbilical line placement, and stabilization during transfers.
