This position allows for a flexible work arrangement with remote capabilities, enabling counselors to connect with clients in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Our team operates with a full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, encouraging a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of senior clients, identifying areas requiring focused intervention.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing emotional issues associated with aging, loss, and adjustment to changing life circumstances.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop tailored care plans that enhance the overall quality of life for geriatric patients.

• Educate families and caregivers on methods to support the emotional needs and improve the emotional well-being of older adults.

• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling, helping clients and their families cope with end-of-life issues.

• Develop and implement cognitive stimulation and mental health programs aimed at maintaining and improving the cognitive function of older individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse group of senior patients facing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, and cognitive decline. You will play an essential role in not only alleviating psychological distress but also enhancing the social and emotional well-being of elderly clients during significant transitions in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• At least four years of direct experience in counseling, specifically with senior clients experiencing mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
