Safety Specialist

Safety Specialist Location: Coraopolis Industry: Commercial Roofing Job Type: Full-Time We are a growing commercial roofing company seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Specialist to help lead and maintain a strong safety culture across our job sites. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, reducing workplace incidents, and supporting field teams through training, inspections, and continuous safety improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine job site safety inspections and audits Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies Lead safety orientations and ongoing training for field employees Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist with corrective action plans Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safety documentation Monitor proper use of PPE, fall protection, and roofing safety systems Maintain OSHA logs, training records, and compliance reports Partner with project managers and field supervisors to proactively address safety concerns Promote a positive, safety-first culture throughout the organization Qualifications Previous safety experience in commercial roofing, construction, or industrial environments preferred Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, especially fall protection standards OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications are a plus Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to work both in the field and office environments Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local job sites What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health benefits Paid time off and holidays 401(k) opportunities Opportunity to grow with an established commercial roofing company If you are passionate about workplace safety and want to make an impact in a fast-paced commercial roofing environment, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Bird & Bear Services
