About the Role: We are in need of a Bilingual Spanish Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role is critical in managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records to support clinical operations. The Medical Receptionist facilitates clear communication between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams, contributing to the overall quality of care. They handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism, adhering to healthcare regulations and privacy standards. Ultimately, this position supports the smooth operation of the medical facility by combining administrative expertise with compassionate patient interaction. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred. Basic proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Administrative Assistant. Experience with specific EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing processes. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the United States. Customer service experience in a healthcare or related setting. Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance information accurately. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical personnel. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations. Coordinate with medical staff to manage patient flow and communicate any delays or changes promptly. Process patient payments, handle billing inquiries, and assist with insurance verification. Prepare and distribute patient forms, collect necessary documentation, and assist patients with completion. Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is organized and professional. Skills: The Medical Receptionist utilizes strong organizational skills daily to manage appointment schedules and patient records efficiently, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, medical staff, and insurance providers, facilitating clear and compassionate exchanges.
