Project Manager
Epic Health Services
Project Manager
EPIC Health is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects while building and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, providers, practice leaders, and internal stakeholders.
This role requires a unique combination of project management expertise and physician relations, provider relations, business development, or sales experience. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing and managing a detailed project plan, meeting directly with physicians and practice leaders, building relationships, resolving concerns, and driving initiatives forward.
The Project Manager will coordinate projects across Operations, Clinical, IT, HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and other departments to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.
This is a highly visible, hands-on position requiring an individual who can establish credibility with physicians and operational leaders, manage multiple priorities, hold teams accountable, identify risks before they become issues, and turn strategic initiatives into completed results.
This position requires a consistent physical presence on-site and regular face-to-face interaction with physicians, providers, leadership, and operational teams.
What You'll Do
Project Management & Execution
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation and planning through implementation, stabilization, and completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, implementation schedules, and success measures.
- Establish project priorities, owners, dependencies, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Drive projects forward and ensure stakeholders complete assigned deliverables within established timelines.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, resource constraints, and operational barriers.
- Develop and coordinate solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, action-item trackers, implementation plans, and other project-management tools.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure decisions, commitments, and action items are clearly documented and followed through to completion.
- Provide leadership with timely visibility into project performance, risks, and outcomes.
Physician & Provider Relations
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with physicians, APPs, practice leaders, and other clinical stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between physicians, clinical teams, operational leadership, and corporate departments.
- Meet directly with physicians and practice leaders to understand needs, identify concerns, communicate organizational initiatives, and facilitate solutions.
- Build physician and provider engagement around new programs, operational initiatives, technologies, workflows, and organizational priorities.
- Use strong relationship-management and consultative skills to gain stakeholder alignment and support.
- Proactively identify physician or provider concerns that could impact project implementation, engagement, or operational performance.
- Coordinate appropriate internal resources to address concerns and maintain strong provider relationships.
- Support physician onboarding, practice integration, organizational growth initiatives, and other provider-facing projects as assigned.
Relationship Management & Business Development
- Apply relationship-building, business development, account management, or sales experience to strengthen engagement with physicians and practice stakeholders.
- Establish credibility and trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate the value and operational impact of new programs, services, technologies, and organizational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen physician engagement and expand participation in organizational programs and services.
- Navigate objections, competing priorities, and resistance to change while maintaining productive professional relationships.
- Partner with Operations and leadership on physician-facing initiatives associated with organizational growth, practice integration, and new opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate teams across Operations, Clinical, IT, HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and other departments.
- Serve as the central point of coordination for assigned projects.
- Clearly communicate expectations, deadlines, changes, responsibilities, and project status to stakeholders.
- Build accountability across teams without relying on direct supervisory authority.
- Provide real-time visibility into project progress by continuously updating stakeholders on milestones, risks, decisions, and changes.
- Escalate significant risks, delays, and unresolved issues to leadership with recommended solutions.
- Build effective working relationships across clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
Implementation & Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation of new processes, systems, technologies, services, and operational initiatives.
- Translate business and clinical needs into actionable project requirements and implementation plans.
- Support pilots, testing, workflow validation, training, implementation, and organization-wide rollouts.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, standardize processes, and improve the physician and patient experience.
- Gather feedback from physicians, providers, employees, and other end users and coordinate appropriate post-implementation adjustments.
- Support change-management initiatives and ensure stakeholders are prepared for new processes, systems, and technologies.
- Assist with new practice, provider, and operational integrations as assigned.
Reporting & Performance
- Track project performance against established goals, timelines, deliverables, and KPIs.
- Prepare concise project updates and executive-level reporting.
- Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, barriers, and opportunities.
- Track physician/provider engagement and project adoption when applicable.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned, outcomes, and best practices.
- Recommend corrective actions when projects or initiatives are not meeting established expectations.
