Job Responsibilities

Provide initial assessment and ongoing medical care in endocrinology
Conduct medical histories, patient examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests
Formulate and adjust treatment plans and prescribe medications
Document consultations, progress notes and manage specialty referrals
Respond to emergency situations and educate patients on preventive care

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Valid State of Connecticut PA License
Connecticut Controlled Substance license and DEA license
NCCPA certification
BLS Certification by the American Heart Association
Preferred: One year of experience in endocrinology or endocrine neoplasia

Working Hours

Varied schedule to be discussed upon engagement

Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology focused on endocrinology
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
Proficiency in patient counseling and education
