About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in Med/Surg and Telemetry care. - Experience with Heparin and Insulin administration. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancellation and DNR. Traveler experience is not required. Locals are accepted with a rate difference. Ratios for patient care are typically 1:5–6. 36 hours per week are guaranteed only on nights. RTO is limited to 7 days maximum. Floating to similar units is typical and may occur at least once a week. Every other weekend of availability is required. All contract staff may be assigned to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Patient diagnoses primarily include Medical and Surgical patients. Special procedures include Heparin and Insulin infusions. The unit utilizes Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication. Staffing and scheduling are based on existing gaps. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily patient census is approximately 41. All staff are expected to manage and care for patients within designated ratios. Module completion is required before starting, conducted online. Candidates should be open to floating within or near the facility per job requirements.
