Contract - 6 Months - w/possible extension

Description:

• 2+ years of Pharmacy Tech Experience
• Call Center Role - Will be on taking inbound calls all day
• Great customer service and communication skills needed

Job Duties:

• Evaluates and authorizes approval of prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers received by telephone and/or facsimile using client clinical criteria.
• Determines appropriateness for medications.
• Communicates decision to physicians, physicians staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists.
• Researches, resolves and documents prior authorization outcomes in pharmacy system.
• Communicates selected prior authorization criteria, pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives to physicians, physician's office staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists.
• Escalates request to Pharmacist when request requires extensive clinical review or denial.
• Monitors telephone system to ensure adequate staffing to maintain client services levels.
• Assesses training needs within the team. Serves as a training resources, mentor and coach to others.
• Identifies and shares best practices.
• Demonstrates, advocates and reinforces a positive team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: $21.00 to $22.00

• MUST License per State Requirements
• CANDIDATE MUST SEND IN CERTIFICATION TO BE ELIGIBLE
• Must Take Skills Assure Testing
• MUST HAVE HARD WIRED INTERNET - NO WIFI
• Team works anywhere from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST but the new hires would likely be assigned hours around 9:00 AM to 6:30PM EST. 8-hour shifts, no on call and likely no OT.
