Regional Business Development Manager - HVAC

DSG is seeking an HVAC Regional Business Development Manager for the Minnesota Region. In this full‑time, salaried, exempt position, work is typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but will vary according to business needs. As a Business Development Manager, you will provide support for the overall execution and implementation of strategic initiatives to help drive achievement of sales, profit, and working capital goals. You will help drive growth in markets that are underdeveloped through Inside and Outside sales, primarily focused on our unitary, ductless, and parts and supplies lines. A Typical Day in the Life of a Business Development Manager at DSG: Collaborate with Inside and Outside Sales Associate(s) to identify, prioritize, and implement initiatives that will improve customer satisfaction and territory growth Seek and develop new customer opportunities and accounts Assist with establishing, managing, and maintaining strong customer relationships and accounts Call on customers on a regular basis Provide overall customer service, including responding to customer questions and concerns as well as complaints Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable Introduces, promotes, and demonstrates new products and marketing programs Develop and deliver regular sales and product training sessions for internal teams and customers Provide customers with literature, catalogs, price sheets, and sales tools Meet or exceed company objectives and goals for gross margin, sales, and growth Monitor and maintain inventory levels and communicate changes in product demand Gain experience with the Eclipse system and EDA reporting system to become a subject matter expert, helping the field accelerate through the learning curve Assist segment leadership in analyzing and evaluating business data and analytics to help drive focus and decisions All other duties as assigned A Successful Business Development Manager Typically Has: A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (required). A high school diploma or equivalent. Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of HVAC products with specialized experience with unitary, ductless, and parts and supplies preferred. Experience working within the wholesale/distributor industry (preferred). The physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis. Prior computer knowledge, experience and skills. Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Experience building strong customer relationships.
