Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk role provides foundational experience in day-to-day accounting operations. As part of a collaborative team, this position supports the maintenance of financial records, assists with reconciliations, and helps ensure accounting data is accurate and aligned with company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and timely entry of data for management review
• Support month-end processes by helping track deadlines and communicating status updates to internal team members
• Perform basic account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, selected balance sheet accounts) and flag discrepancies for review
• Help compile financial data across multiple entities and assist with simple variance tracking under supervision
• Provide administrative and data support during the annual audit process, including gathering documentation and responding to requests
• Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure tasks are completed on time
• Review and input financial data into accounting systems, ensuring completeness and consistency
• Assist with revenue tracking and reconciliation support, comparing data to contracts or agreements and identifying mismatches for escalation

Qualifications:

• 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related administrative experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with accounting or general ledger systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and data entry accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, basic formulas)
• Ability to perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies for review
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
