Licensed Physical Therapist for Pediatric Rehabilitation

Position Overview

TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time position requires a compassionate professional committed to improving the functional mobility and overall quality of life for children. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans in a supportive environment centered around pediatric rehabilitation.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville. This facility is equipped with modern therapeutic tools and technologies designed to create a dynamic and effective treatment environment. Our team of professionals is committed to collaboration and supports each other to enhance patient care. This role requires a flexible schedule, with working hours from Monday to Friday, typically 8 AM to 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of children to assess their physical capabilities and challenges, and identify therapeutic needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evidence, patient goals, and family input.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and documentation using our electronic health record system, ensuring all clinical notes, SOAP notes, and progress summaries are up-to-date.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding the rehabilitation process, therapeutic exercises, and strategies to overcome common challenges.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment for patients receiving multiple services.
• Actively engage in meeting utilization goals and other business objectives set forth by the organization.
• Advocate for and embody the values and culture of TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center as a proud ambassador for our organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged children who require physical therapy for a variety of diagnoses such as developmental delays, congenital conditions, and orthopedic injuries. You will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on their physical development and overall quality of life while working closely with families to address their concerns and empower them during the rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida, as issued by the Board of Physical Therapy.
• Willingness and capability to deliver therapy both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate.
• A strong commitment to working with a diverse population, emphasizing inclusivity for patients of varying ages, races, and backgrounds.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in pediatric physical therapy, demonstrating familiarity with common conditions treated in this demographic.

• Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting and contributing to enhanced patient care processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a rewarding salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
