Clinical Documentation Specialist

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Clinical Documentation Specialist will collaborate with various teams to enhance compliance in clinical documentation through expert review and assessment of chronic conditions and coding guidelines. Key responsibilities Review upcoming visits to validate chronic conditions and identify potential suspect conditions for provider assessment Utilize various systems to support the closure of risk adjustment gaps through clinical data analysis Serve as a subject matter expert on HCC documentation requirements and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines while fostering relationships with medical providers Required qualifications 5+ years of overall experience in healthcare or clinical documentation 3+ years of specific experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Understanding of Medicaid documentation requirements is a plus
