Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly communicating each process with warmth and care
• Engage closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Efficiently operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any issues swiftly
• Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records in the electronic medical record system
• Stay well-informed of new techniques and advancements in ultrasound imaging

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Highly effective communication abilities and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team
