Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, assessing patient needs and determining appropriate interventions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
Participate in the triage of patients, prioritizing care based on medical need.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department or similar setting.
Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
