You will have the autonomy to manage your schedule while working alongside a collaborative team of mental health professionals dedicated to holistic and effective client care.Key Responsibilities Provide individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, conducting thorough assessments and evaluations in both group and individual settings. Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to both ethical standards and state regulations. Engage with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that optimize client outcomes. Participate in staff meetings and workshops to remain informed about the latest research in mental health and enhance personal professional development.Patient Population / Client FocusThis position involves working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing relationship challenges, trauma, substance misuse issues, and mental health conditions. Your role will focus on fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients of all ages, promoting resilience and healing within families and partnerships.Qualifications A recognized Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory. Active and unrestricted licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia is required. At least two years of relevant counseling experience is essential, preferably in a clinical setting that emphasizes family dynamics. Strong knowledge of legal and ethical standards within the mental health field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team, fostering a team-centered approach to client care.Preferred Experience Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly advantageous. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other related technologies.Compensation and BenefitsThe position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance.
