Procurement also works closely with vendor partners to come up with a vertically integrated design, and we manage these partners to deliver the projects on schedule and budget. One thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our technical staff is given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results.ResponsibilitiesThe individual will be continuously working with the procurement team to provide needed assistance daily to ensure the department meets and exceeds its goals with the company.Individual will be a self-starter and with the ability to manage and assist multiple single line diagrams, product specifications and driving OFCI Equipment submittals to closure (approval)Successful candidate will understand RFIs and RFQs for the sourcing of equipment for low voltage switchgear, medium switchgear, transformers, electrical skids, CRAH’s, chillers, generators, UPS’s and other data center equipment systems as neededCoordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvementManage and track equipment status with the vendors such that all scheduled dates set by the construction schedules are metAnalyze and negotiate vendor quotes, change orders and back charges.Learn and manage the financial software to enter PO’s, review invoices, track budgets, and allocate equipment from purchase to the projects.Support Procurement Managers and Finance / Accounting with invoicing issuesDrive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management teamCoordinates with vendors for scheduling start-up and commissioning support services from the vendorsMaintain and develop supplier relationshipsHelp develop and maintain record keeping and reports for the businessContinue to work and help refine the procurement processes to make sure they are complying and efficient.Work with compliance to maintain the department and vendors are within guidelinesWork with operation personnel of the Vantage buildings to ensure the proper spare parts and service programs are properly in place and assist with their database.Continue safety evaluations with vendors and project sites to make compliance is metSenior Analyst should be able to manage the full OFCI equipment package on a VDC development project with minimal support/assistance from a Procurement Manager.DutiesCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and operational requirementsWork with the finance and compliance to ensure all purchases have appropriately been costed to a projectHelp coordinate the approval and release of the necessary equipment per construction scheduleContinue to investigate and work with vendors to make sure their products are best suited for VantageSupport open and transparent communication with project teams for project delivery successNegotiate complex requests for equipment and services from suppliers and subcontractorsAssist in the management and support equipment inventory planning efforts and forecastingOther duties as assigned by managerJob RequirementsBachelor of Science in engineering, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience, is required3+ years of experience in a supply chain or construction role is requiredData Center, commercial, or industrial equipment experience is strongly preferredAptitude to learn quickly and drive things to closure is requiredStrong business acumen with a strong commercial background is requiredKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques is required#LI-WW1#LI-HybridWe operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
