MACHINIST: CNC LATHE
COMPANY PROFILE:
Fluidyne Corp is a well respected prime contractor that manufactures custom valves for the Navy. The majority of our business supports the Navy’s critical Nuclear Propulsion and Level I/Subsafe programs. Consequently, the quality of our product is vital to our success. Our facility is clean, well lit, and fully air conditioned.
WORK HOURS:
The position requires a 40 hour minimum work week, with 8 hours overtime always available. Our lunch period is 30 minutes. We do not work on weekends.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with talent and experience. This package includes company paid health insurance (employees are required to pay a portion of the cost for dependents) and a 401(k) Plan that includes a no limit 35% employer match.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
CNC machinist applicants must have at least 3 years experience with the programming, set-up and machining of precision machined parts including castings and forgings. Machinists that are proficient with both CNC and manual equipment are preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to produce parts per drawing requirements with minimal supervision.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS:
This position is for the programing, set up, fixturing and operation of CNC lathe. Training for the Okuma control (if applicable) will be available as long as the candidate has experience with similar software/control. Most parts are close tolerance and run quantities are very low. This is not a production shop. Fluidyne has an experienced staff that can provide guidance as necessary. Currently all lathes are 2 axis (no live tooling).
