Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms associated with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.

• Collaborate with clients to establish individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy coping mechanisms to foster understanding and resilience.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in treating mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and case consultations to foster a culture of learning and improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on clients experiencing mood disorders, including individuals suspecting or diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you may work with vulnerable populations, such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, providing them with the specialized support they require. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals build coping strategies, gain insight, and achieve emotional stability.
