QA Engineer II

QA Engineer IITransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time QA Engineer II to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Summary: Responsible for creating, evaluating, and executing quality assurance processes, procedures and statistical techniques.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Participate in implementing and monitoring processes for an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality systemMay be asked to be the Subject Matter Expert for certain quality processesPerform internal auditing of quality system processesCoordinate completion of corrective and preventive actionsPerform supplier site audits for supplier qualifications and nonconformancesPerform root cause analysis for process and product nonconformancesPerform failure analysis and reporting for RFID productsSupport ESD Control programConduct data analysis for product and process performance using statistical techniquesParticipate on engineering design teams to provide inputs regarding quality for new product developmentRequirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the background, knowledge, skills, education, and abilities required.Typically requires 6 years related experienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering field of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance EngineeringAbility to write and interpret technical documentsExperience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assembliesProficiency in ERP software (i.e., visibility) and MS Office applications.Ability to prioritize work, be proactive, work independently and pay attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, including mentoring/training/presentationActs independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: American Society of Quality - Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, or Auditor; IPC Solder Standards: IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721; ANSI/ESD S.20.20 Electro-Static Control ProgramPhysical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
