Enhance your career with a dynamic and challenging role.Job DescriptionDesign Build MEP Coordinator OverviewThe Design Build MEP Coordinator will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for cold storage and food processing projects.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive MEP plans and specifications.Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and project specifications through design reviews.Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize system performance and cost efficiency.Manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards during construction phases.Implement quality control measures, conducting inspections and commissioning procedures for MEP systems.Stay updated on building codes and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Act as the primary liaison for MEP-related inquiries, fostering positive client relationships.Promote continuous improvement in MEP coordination processes and methodologies.Design Build MEP Coordinator Key Responsibilities & DutiesCoordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop MEP plans.Review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for compliance and specifications.Assist in procurement by selecting appropriate MEP equipment and materials.Oversee subcontractors, resolving technical issues and ensuring project schedules are met.Conduct inspections and tests to verify MEP systems' functionality and quality.Ensure adherence to building codes and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and mitigate risks related to MEP systems integration.Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates.Enhance MEP coordination processes through innovative practices and methodologies.Design Build MEP Coordinator Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP coordination, preferably in design-build environments.Proficiency in CAD or Revit for clash detection and design reviews.Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and integration principles.Excellent communication and leadership skills for engaging with teams and clients.Familiarity with Lean construction principles and BIM methodologies is a plus.Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial but not required.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.
