Accounts Payable Lead
Location: Centennial, CO (Hybrid, in-office)
Salary: $68,000 - $75,000 / year DOE
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k)
Responsibilities:
- Support the daily flow of invoices and requests through the AP ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Monitor ticket queues, identify bottlenecks, and assist in prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
- Perform hands-on AP processing including invoice review, coding, matching, and payment support as needed
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex AP issues and vendor inquiries
- Coach and train AP team members on workflows, ticketing tools, and best practices
- Assist with onboarding and training of new AP staff
- Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ticketing workflows, invoice processing, and system utilization
- Collaborate with the AP Manager to support department objectives and operational consistency
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and teamwork across the department
Requirements:
- 5+ years of accounts payable processing experience with 1+ year of people leadership responsibilities
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field highly preferred
