Details Hospital-based Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) located on the 9th floor of a 396-bed hospital with 28 patient beds Primary placement in Inpatient Rehab with potential to float to Acute Care based on census needs Daily caseload of 6.5 out of 8 hours of direct patient contact time, with treatment sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00am to 4:30pm Occasional weekend shifts required No on-call requirements Utilizes Epic EMR for charting Requires use of NMES (Vital Stim) and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Requirements 2-3 years of experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) setting required Current South Carolina SLP license required if applicable ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required BLS certification required Experience with NMES (Vital Stim) and MBS procedures required First-time travelers accepted if candidate has prior IRF experience Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency, as the facility does not supply one to travelers Additional Information Provide speech-language pathology treatment within an inpatient rehabilitation program May float to acute care areas based on facility census fluctuations Facility may occasionally cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks based on census Scrub color required is misty grey (light grey/silver) Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted, as the facility prioritizes non-local candidates Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel clinician All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application for consideration Block scheduling accommodations may be requested but are not guaranteed During hurricane season (June through November, peaking in August and September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams American Traveler Job ID P-741209.
