Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Elkhart, Indiana. This onsite position is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience working with accounting systems, and a commitment to accuracy in a high-volume environment. • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs via check, ACH, wire transfer, and other payment methods.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor files, including W-9 forms and payment information.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payment of obligations.
• Assist with month-end close processes, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
• Support audit requests by providing documentation and reports as needed.

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience using ERP or accounting software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with invoice automation or workflow systems.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment.
