**South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027.

Under the direction of the Cardiovascular Services Manager and the charge nurse, performs procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and angiographic suite. The CVT/RCIS works collaboratively with the nurses and physicians in the care of patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena. Specializing in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures: PTCA, stent prep and placement, IABP placement and operation; as well as a variety of interventional radiology procedures including: angiograms, biopsies, biliary drains, stenting, embolization, ablation, dialysis access, and kyphoplasty. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to operating the physiologic and radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining high standards to achieve quality patient care and keeping critical skills current. Understanding that healthcare delivery is continually evolving, and departmental needs and goals are subject to change, responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the Department Director.
