Position Overview
A precision manufacturing company in South Jersey is seeking an experienced Lead CNC Mill Machinist for a full-time, first-shift position. The ideal candidate has experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines and is committed to producing high-quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines.
Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software.
Assist operators with machine setups and troubleshooting.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
Verify parts meet quality standards and required tolerances.
Follow manufacturing procedures and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines.
Proficiency with CAM software and CNC programming.
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, organized, and quality-focused.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multi-axis CNC machining centers.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
Experience machining custom or high-precision parts.
Large horizontal boring mill experience is a plus.
Manual machining experience is a plus.
