At Ditsch USA you will find a welcoming, safe, and team-orientated environment.Job Summary : Troubleshoot and improve processes in production for optimal systemsEssential FunctionsTroubleshoot the most complicated equipment and process issues and help resolve those issues both on a short term and long-term basisInterpersonal training and teaching of all operators and supervisors on process deviations and process adjustments to improve product quality. A source to develop new or under performing operatorsSpecific focus for line three knowledge transfer to the operations teamWill work as a back-up shift leader in their absenceAccess breakdowns/downtime and work with maintenance and operations to build preventive controls and improve equipment reliabilityCreating a SOP/WI system used to define best practices and consistency with product quality and operating parameters. The SOP product books are a constant work in progress and are continually improving to define better process parameters and implementing and communicating improvementsResponsible for building recipes and optimizing productivity, efficiencies and total throughput on both lines and each individual product groupPrimary technical resource on projects that range from small projects to major expansions. Is the reality check that takes plans from conceptual to functionableInterpersonal training and teaching of operators and supervisors on process deviations and process adjustments to improve product qualityComplete daily walk through and inspections of the plant and communicate continuous opportunities, issues, and corrections to the leadership team immediatelyDefine process changes pertaining to environmental conditions such as seasons, temperatures, and most importantly humidityCoordinate and run product trials in a way that limits production interference and interruptions.Liaison between operations and maintenance to create trial, test, and design new products from conception to full production including process, machine, and labor capabilities. Instrumental in resourcing, testing, and finalizing the new product specifications. Will also create SOPs and WI to transfer knowledge and train staff when new products are installedAssist with feasibility, validation, and confirmation of process to product specificationOther duties as assignedPosition QualificationsCompetency StatementsLanguage Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry, production, and technical documents in English. Ability to read, understand and speak Spanish a plusMathematical Skills – Ability to apply basic and some advanced mathematical concepts (Algebra, statistics)Detail Oriented—Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracyReasoning Ability—Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, up to and including 50 lbs.Ability to withstand various climates through the facility, i.e., freezer, dock, production.
