Position Overview

B’Above Worldwide Institute is seeking a caring, organized, and dependable Bilingual Spanish Family Worker to join our Family Child Care Network.

The Family Worker supports approximately 25–30 Family Child Care providers and their enrolled families with enrollment, family services, attendance, documentation, assessments, family engagement, and connections to community resources.

This is primarily an office based position working between our Bronx and Brooklyn offices, with limited local travel for provider visits, meetings, trainings, and Network activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25–30 Family Child Care providers and their enrolled families .

• Recruit, enroll, and support families through intake, orientation, assessments, and ongoing family services.

• Complete Family Strengths Assessments, nutrition assessments, child profiles, family plans, and required documentation.

• Maintain regular communication and follow up with families and assigned providers.

• Monitor enrollment, attendance, census, medicals, and required family documentation.

• Follow up with families regarding absences, missing documents, medical requirements, and other program needs.

• Maintain accurate case notes, family records, enrollment information, and electronic documentation.

• Connect families with community resources, including health, mental health, housing, food, special education, and other support services.

• Assist with family workshops, parent orientations, meetings, recruitment activities, and special events.

• Collaborate with Education, Enrollment, Census, Health and Nutrition, Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Network leadership.

• Complete limited provider visits and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Child Development, or a related field OR CDA/FDC credential required .

• Experience working with families and young children required.

• Two years of experience in early childhood, family services, social services, Family Child Care, or a related setting preferred.

• Strong organization, communication, follow through, and time management skills.

• Ability to independently manage a caseload of 25–30 providers and their families .

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and electronic databases.

• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

• Ability to work between the Bronx and Brooklyn offices as needed.
